Hey guys,
Just wanting to know who here on the forum has ridden with the Neobrain bindings (the custom ones, not the Base X).
Interested to know what everyone's opinions on them are!
Cheers.

| Hey man i ride neobrains and overall i think they are a pretty decent binding. the only thing that is wrong with them is the backstrap rides up on your heel and can get very uncomfortable and it happens fairly often. Besides that they are really good and fast to use as well as an easy setup. Im planning on getting newbindings and ill just get the softcores. If you want bindings that are really fast but the heelstrap does not ride up you should checkout the respekts by indigo. My cousin has them and he really enjoys them. |

I've been riding neobrains for maybe a year now I think, and they're my favourite binding so far so long as you get a few things right... the heel strap riding up can be fixed by adjusting which holes you use, and i reccommend riding the Blackouts or making yourself a similar extra strap - the extra strap means no binding opening accidents in mid air, and better security for tricks. it also stops your foot from potentially moving to the right hand side over your kingpin and snapping your crossbar. they're also a bitch to set up for the first time because the hole pattern you use will be totally different to any other bindings you've had. also, i'd reccommend covering the heel ends of all 4 brackets in duck tape to prolong the life of the tarp on the bindings where they connect to the board. my first two sets went out that way, but i've put a bit of tape on the new brackets and i think they'll last a lot longer. the extra strap helps this too cause you get less lift in your heel, which puts less strain on the material.
other than all of that... haha, they feel amazing to ride and they weigh next to nothing. i had some of Ingo's respekt bindings before and just couldn't ride them, plus they're sadly suuuuper heavy, being made of thick ass leather. |
