right, so i know how to do them
its just every now and again i;ve either slipped backwards or forwards off the rail and on to my ass/groin! bloody painful but still, it annoys me so much cos i can't work out the reason why
anyone know how i can correct this or whats happening??

right now i'm riding a highland flare 55, once i've got enough money i'm getting a cartel
but i've done some rails before its just the fact that i slip backwards almost every time atm, though i havn't riden in ages, going out on thursday to skate for a bit |

The Flare55 is good, I just wanted to make sure you weren't riding a board that was too small for you.
Pretend like you you are sitting in a chair.. really squat down while keeping your feet flat on the floor.. naturally most of your weight will be on your heels and that's where the problem is.. along with the fear of wiping out. Too much weight on your heels and you are bound to slip out and fall back and too much weight on your toes and you'll fall forward... try that imaginary chair thing for an extended period of time and really feel how much lean and stomach power it takes to keep it in control. |
